Hill to Hollow 100km - Tully, NY
Hill to Hollow 100km is a trail race organized by Salt City Trail Racing that follows a roughly 100 km loop through multiple state and county forests around Tully, NY. The course begins and ends in Morgan Hill State Forest, where camping is available, and crosses four counties using predominantly single-track trails including the Onondaga Trail, North Country Trail, and sections of the Finger Lakes Trail.
The route covers approximately 63.7 miles with about 10,286 feet of elevation change and includes seven staffed aid stations (excluding start/finish). Aid station offerings include water, sports drink, fruit, sandwiches, salty snacks, cookies, candy, and a limited selection of hot foods at one location. All runners receive commemorative socks and prizes are awarded to top finishers and the fastest relay team.
The event emphasizes self-sufficiency and navigation without reliable cellular coverage; required gear includes a charged cell phone with the race director number saved, an offline-capable navigation device with the course GPS file, a headlamp and spare batteries, reflective vest, emergency blanket, waterproof shell with hood, a water filtration device, at least 800 mL fluid capacity, and a minimum 400 kcal food reserve. Pacers are permitted for solo 100 km runners after about mile 33, with one pacer per runner at a time. Crew can access all aid stations but should avoid parking on private property.
The race runs concurrently with the Morgan Hill Trail Races Half Marathon and Marathon, is Trail Sisters approved, and is a UTMB Index race. Refunds are not granted; deferrals are available for specific circumstances and distance changes are allowed until registration closes.
