Fellows Frolic

Fellows Frolic is a trail loop event in Tully, New York, presented by Miles & Macros. Participants repeatedly run an approximately 3.3 miles loop with about 607 feet of total elevation gain. The direction to start each runner's loop is determined by bib number and a coin toss; after returning to the aid station each lap, runners go out the way they just came in and complete the next lap in the opposite direction.

Two event options are offered: a three hour event that measures how many loops a person can complete, and a $1,000 Challenge that awards prize money to the first male and female to complete seven laps. For the $1,000 Challenge the male standard is seven laps in three hours and the female standard is seven laps in three hours and 27 minutes. Timing for awards will be live; overall timing is recorded by hand and results are uploaded the same night.

The course follows orange blazes for the Fellows Hill Loop Trail and passes near Spruce Pond and sections of the North Country Trail. Limited parking is available at the Spruce Pond campsite (about eight cars); overflow parking is on Shackham Road about a mile away. Race-day amenities include water, Gatorade, some snacks, a port-a-potty, free race photos, and swag such as a mug or drawstring bag. Headphones are not permitted. There are no transfers, deferrals, or refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
