About the race
English's Ridge Rumble on April 10, 2027 is held at Green Lakes State Park near Fayetteville, NY and is organized by Salt City Trail Racing.
Distances offered:
- 50 km
- 20 Miler
- 10 Miler
The race uses an approximately 10.4 mile loop with about 1,300 feet of elevation gain. The course includes technical sections with rocks and roots but is mostly double-track composed of mulch beds, gravel, or grass, with a short portion of paved park road. The route passes notable park features such as the Serengeti, Round Lake, the Powerline Bypass, and Quarry Hill, and moves through open fields and older forested areas.
There are two aid stations: one at the start/finish and one on course that is passed twice per loop at about miles 2.4 and 6.6. Typical aid offerings include water, Skratch, orange slices, bananas, pickles, PB&Js, potato chips, pretzels, Oreos, and candy. Ramen will be available after the race, with vegan options.
Registration opens November 25, 2026. Prices increase after December 1 and again one month before the race; runners who register after April 2 are not guaranteed a t-shirt. Race day in-person registration is available at the Reserve Picnic Shelter. Participants must park in the main lot by the beach and walk about a quarter mile to the start; the disc golf lot is for drop-off and volunteer parking only.
Time limits are set per distance: 6 hours for the 10 miler, 7 hours for the 20 miler, and 8 hours for the 50 km. For the 50 km, runners must begin their third loop within 5 hours and pass the remote aid station within 7 hours. Refunds are not granted; deferrals may be allowed for pregnancy, injury, or volunteering when slots remain. Distance changes are permitted until online registration closes.
