Trail Prom's Last Dance
Trail Prom's Last Dance is scheduled for May 8, 2027 in Fabius, NY, at 1254 Highland Park Rd. The event is organized by Salt City Trail Racing in partnership with Highland Forest County Park and Onondaga County Parks, and is a USATF insured event. Registration fees are listed between $33.50 and $87.50 and registration closes on May 7.
The event uses an elimination style tournament format for two-person teams. Runners may register as same or mixed gender teams, or as solo runners who will be paired on race day. Individual times for each completed round are recorded and added to a team’s combined time; teams with the lowest combined times advance to the next round.
Distance options
- Senior Prom: 8 to 20 miles
- Junior Prom: 4 to 10 miles
Course structure is described by three rounds: a 4-mile course for round 1, a 3-mile course for round 2, and a reverse 3-mile course for round 3; Senior entries complete each loop twice and Junior entries complete each loop once. Runners start each round together and there is an approximately 10 minute break between rounds. An aid station will be available at the Start/Finish area.
Awards are given to the top three teams for each distance; first place teams keep the cup and may choose their post-race meal from the provided menu. Refunds are not granted; deferrals are available for pregnancy, injury, or volunteering if volunteer slots remain. Distance changes are permitted until online registration closes on May 7.
