Green Lakes Endurance Runs takes place at the Tulip Hill Picnic Area in Green Lakes State Park. The event features multiple fixed-distance trail races and a timed 12 hour event, all using looped courses around the park.

Distances

• 100K (approximately eight 8-mile loops)
• 50K (approximately four 8-mile loops)
• 25K (approximately two 8-mile loops)
• GLER GALEFORCE 12 Hour Race (clockwise 3-mile loops around Green and Round Lakes)

The fixed-distance loop is almost exactly 8 miles and combines varied trail surfaces: well-maintained single and double track, grassy single track, dirt roads and short sections of asphalt. Course terrain includes two ascents and one long descent through upland forest with roots, ruts and stones, extended upper meadows called the Serengeti that total about 3+ miles per loop, and a shaded lower-lake section with generally flat trails. The 12 hour event remains on the lower lakes loop and counts only laps completed inside the timed period.

The event supplies two stocked aid stations plus one unmanned water drop so participants are within roughly 3.75 miles of the next aid. The course is marked and uses confidence markers every 100 to 200 meters. Race amenities include participant shirts if registered at least 14 days before the event, finisher medals and drinkware, race-day awards, and a raffle ticket for each registered entrant. Refunds and deferrals are restricted; refunds will not be accepted after July 16, 2026, and awards and finisher items are distributed only on race day.
