Green Lakes Endurance Runs is a trail event centered at the Tulip Hill Picnic Area at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville, New York. The event includes fixed-distance races and a timed 12 hour event that uses different loop formats.
Distances offered:
- 100K nearly eight mile loops repeated eight times
- 50K four of the same course loops
- 25K two of the same course loops
- GLER GALEFORCE 12 Hour Race timed laps on a clockwise 3 mile lower-lakes loop
The main loop features a mix of well maintained single and double track, grassy single track, dirt roads and short asphalt sections. The upland section includes two ascents and one long descent with roots, ruts, and stones. Upper meadow sections called the Serengeti provide about three miles of rolling, mostly unshaded terrain per loop. The lower lake section is shaded, generally flat, with occasional roots.
Support and services include two staffed aid stations, one unmanned water drop, and course marking with confidence markers every 100 to 200 meters. Participants may position personal aid near the McHenry-Main Aid Station at Race HQ with a 10'x10' canopy limit. Registered entrants receive a race shirt if requested at least 14 days before the event, plus finisher items and awards distributed on race day. The organizer is Ultrarunning Matters.
