Green Lakes Endurance Runs
Fayetteville, United States • 22 Aug 2026
Event Overview
The Green Lakes Endurance Runs take place on August 22, 2026, at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville, New York. The event features four race distances: a 100K, a 50K, a 25K, and the GLER GALEFORCE 12 Hour Race.
Course Details
All races begin and end at the Tulip Hill Picnic Area above Green Lake. The course includes varied terrain with single and double track trail, grassy sections, dirt roads, and some asphalt. It is described as extremely runnable.
The 100K, 50K, and 25K races share a main loop that is almost exactly 8 miles long. This loop traverses upland forests with steep, shaded trails containing roots and stones, and upper meadows known as the "Serengeti," which are rolling, unshaded, and mostly dirt and grass. A lower lake section is shaded and generally flat.
- The 100K is 8 laps of this main loop.
- The 50K is 4 laps.
- The 25K is 2 laps.
The GLER GALEFORCE 12 Hour Race uses a different, shorter loop. Participants run a 3-mile clockwise loop around Green and Round Lakes for 12 hours, completing as many loops as possible.
Race Support and Amenities
The event is strongly supported with two stocked aid stations and one unmanned water drop, ensuring racers are never more than 3.75 miles from the next aid. The course is marked with turns and confidence markers.
All registered entrants receive a t-shirt if they register at least 14 days prior. Finishers receive a medal, a GLER coffee cup or pint glass, and a bumper sticker. The top three overall finishers and top three female finishers for each distance are recognized, as are first-place age group winners in several divisions.
Participants and crew can set up personal items near the main aid station at Tulip Hill. The event also includes a raffle for registered participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
