Finger Lakes Mud Run
The Finger Lakes Mud Run is an outdoor obstacle course event held at Everest Park in Auburn, New York. This event marks its 15th anniversary and takes place across the natural terrain of the park grounds. The main course is approximately 4 miles long and features about 40 different obstacles, which include both man-made structures and natural elements.
The event offers two distinct participation options:
- Finger Lakes Mud Run: A course of over 4 miles with 40 obstacles for adults and children aged 10 and older.
- Mini Muddy: A significantly shorter and scaled-down obstacle course designed specifically for children aged 5 through 10.
Participants under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult team member on the full course. For the Mini Muddy, adult guardians may accompany their children at no additional cost. The event focuses on teamwork and camaraderie among friends and families navigating the muddy conditions.
Proceeds from the registration fees are directed to Champions for Life, Inc. This non-profit organization manages the Everest Park site, the CFL Sports Center, and the Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage. The course design utilizes the physical landscape of the park to create an adventure that incorporates dirt, water, and various physical barriers.
