The High Lonesome 100 is a challenging 100-mile trail ultramarathon held in the Sawatch Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, starting and finishing near Mount Princeton. The loop course features 23,500 feet of elevation gain, reaching a high point of 13,100 feet and averaging 10,600 feet in elevation. Runners traverse 66% single track, 21% mining roads, and sections of gravel and paved roads. The route includes five alpine passes, two ghost towns, remote basins, and 27 miles on the Continental Divide Trail plus 35 miles on the Colorado Trail.
