Heritage Coast Run

Thorpeness, United Kingdom • 3 May 2026

Event Details

The Heritage Coast Run is a running event offering a 10 km and a half marathon distance. Both courses are mainly off-road, featuring sandy trails and undulations along the coast.

Distances and Course

The event offers two main race options:

  • A 10 km run, with a separate entry category for runners with dogs (canicross style).
  • A half marathon for runners only.

The 10 km and half marathon share the same initial course. The 10 km turnaround point is on the beach just past Sizewell B. The half marathon continues on a further loop between Minsmere and Dunwich before rejoining the 10 km route at Sizewell. Both finish in Thorpeness.

Event Information

The run starts in waves. The finish area is the same as the start area at the Ogilvie Pavillion in Thorpeness. Free car parking is available on site. Toilets and refreshments will be available.
