The Five Rivers Ultra takes place on 16-17 May 2026. It is organised by Coastal Trail Runners and finishes in Harwich, Cow Lane, Suffolk, CO12 3ER. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under England Athletics rules. It is a UTMB 100M index event. Minimum entry age is 20. Distances offered:

  • 100 miles - point-to-point route circumnavigating five coastal estuaries.
  • 50 miles - point-to-point route along coastal estuaries.
  • 50 km - point-to-point route along coastal estuaries.

Cut-offs are stated as 100 miles - 32 hours, 50 miles - 24 hours, and 50 km - 9 hours. More than 85% of the route is on grass or dirt trail. The course follows named footpaths and includes large sections with National Trail signage on the King Charles III England Coast Path. GPX files are available for all distances and routes are self-navigated.

Logistics and services

Facilities and services include drop bag support, GPX downloads, Open Tracking for live tracking, indoor checkpoints offering tea, coffee and hot food, and rest area bunk beds with hot food at the Harwich finish. All finishers receive a tech t-shirt and a unique finisher memento. Optional limited hostel beds are available the night before for 100 mile entrants, and optional buses run to the 100 mile start from Harwich.
