Harry Corrow Freedom Run

The Harry Corrow Freedom Run is scheduled for July 4, 2026 in Newport, Vermont. The event uses shoreline and woodland routes around Lake Memphremagog and includes segments on the Newport Waterfront Recreation Path, the Beebe Spur Bike Path, and the Memphremagog Trails system.

The course was expanded in 2022 to add about one mile that crosses Scott's Cove Bridge and passes through Bluffside Farm. The Half Marathon, 10 Mile, and 10 K routes include approximately 3.5 miles on the Memphremagog Trails system. The start and finish are at Prouty Beach, 385 Prouty Beach Road, Newport, VT. Walkers are welcome.

Registration fees vary by distance. Standard fees listed are: Half Marathon $85, 10 Mile $75, 10 km $65, 5 km $60, and 2 mile $50. Discounts include a 20 percent early bird reduction for registrations on or before January 1, 2026, a 20 percent team discount for teams of five or more, and a youth rate of $25 for participants 18 and under. Twenty percent of each adult registration fee supports the National Alliance on Mental Illness, Vermont. Ultra Obscura is a multi loop ultramarathon at Mont Sutton on June 13 and 14 2026. Multiple distances and an 84 km relay on technical trails put emphasis on race strategy and resource management.
