Jay Peak Trail Running Festival : Jay Peak, Vermont (Sept 5-6, 2026)

The Jay Peak Trail Running Festival is a two-day, family-focused trail race weekend held at Jay Peak in Vermont over Labor Day weekend. The festival stages seven distinct races across a variety of terrain and includes on-site lodging options and resort amenities. All races start at Stateside Lodge.

Races and formats include:

  • 53.1 km Ultra - three laps of 11 miles with 9000+ ft elevation gain.
  • 22 Miler (35.4 km) - two laps of the same course used for the ultra.
  • 11 Miler (17.7 km) - a single-lap course with an extended time limit.
  • Three 5k races - Black Diamond, Blue Square (actual distance ~5.4 km), Green Circle.
  • Kids Trail Race - held on real trails with age-appropriate competition.
  • Option to run all three 5ks and receive a special finisher prize.

Course notes: the ultra features aid stations averaging about 3 miles apart and varied terrain with mountain views. The Black Diamond 5k includes over 1000 ft of elevation gain. Blue Square mixes mowed nordic trails and single track. Registrants receive a lodging discount code; the resort also offers an indoor water park, ice rink, climbing wall, arcade, movie theater, and several restaurants. The Craftsbury TNR will take place in Craftsbury on Tuesday 23 June 2026. You can run 5 kilometers.

A Fourth of July run/walk in Newport and Derby, VT, on gravel paths and wooded trails with distances from 2 miles to a half marathon; a portion of fees supports NAMI Vermont and ice cream follows the event.

A 24 hour event on a 5.2 km loop at Parc des Sommets Bromont offering a competitive Ultra format and a free pace Solidaire option, with 1 dollar per loop donated to L’Effet BU.

A community run on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail from Oxbow Riverfront Park on August 15, 2026, with an out and back course to the 1.5 mile turnaround, aid at the turn, post-race refreshments, and awards for top three finishers in each cat..
