Hagg Mud 50K/25K - Henry Hagg Lake, Scoggins Valley Park, Gaston OR
The Hagg Mud event on February 14, 2026 is a trail running event organized by the Oregon Road Runners Club at the C-Ramp Recreation Area of Henry Hagg Lake. The event offers two distance options:
- 50K two counterclockwise loops around the lake on single-track and short road sections
- 25K one counterclockwise loop around the lake with some short road sections
Both courses begin with a loop around the parking area and include a gravel out-and-back on Sain Creek Road, which contains the largest elevation change on the routes. The 50K passes five aid stations including the Dam and Fenders Blue locations; the 25K passes two aid stations. Aid stations are cupless: participants must bring handhelds, hydration packs, or reusable cups. Stations provide water, electrolytes via pitchers and rapid-fill spigots, fruit, snacks, soda, sports drink, and GU products. Recycling and food-waste buckets will be available.
Time limits and cutoffs are enforced. The 50K has a first-lap cutoff at noon and required checks at the Dam and Fenders Blue aid stations; the 25K uses the same cutoffs with a shorter course and a 7.5 hour limit for the 15.5 mile distance. Walkers are not allowed on the 50K; the 25K is better suited to slower paces. Top three finishers in each gender division earn awards, all finishers receive finisher socks and post-race food, and multi-year participation awards are recognized.
The event includes inclusivity policies, a partnership with the Trail Mix Fund to increase access, and a no-refund registration policy with limited deferral options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
