Gaston, United States • 14 Feb 2026
Event overview
The Hagg Mud 50K/25K is scheduled for February 14, 2026, at Henry Hagg Lake in Scoggins Valley Park near Gaston, Oregon. The event takes place on the C-Ramp Recreation Area and is held on ancestral lands of the Kalapuya, Clatskanie, and Atfalati peoples, now part of the Confederated Tribes of the Grande Ronde. Distances offered:
- 50K
- 25K
Registration opens October 1, 2025. The event provides three aid stations on course, a post-race party with warm food and drinks, a covered bag drop area, warming and changing tents, and a complimentary parking voucher. Top three finishers in each gender category - female, male, and nonbinary - will receive awards. All finishers receive custom finisher socks and post-race food and drinks.
Course and logistics
Both races start with a short loop around the C-Ramp parking area, then a gravel out-and-back section before single-track trails and lake-side trails. The 50K is two counterclockwise loops around Hagg Lake and passes five aid stations, with aid station mile markers provided for each lap. The 25K is one counterclockwise loop with two aid stations and a few short road sections. Aid stations are CUPLESS - runners must bring a handheld, hydration pack, or reusable cup; stations offer refill pitchers, rapid-fill spigots, fruit, snacks, soda, and gels. The race does not accommodate walkers in the 50K; the 25K has a more generous time limit suitable for hiking. The event supports fee assistance programs through the Trail Mix Fund and ORRC subsidy options. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
