Event overview
The Hagg Mud 50K/25K takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the C-Ramp Recreation Area of Henry Hagg Lake in Scoggins Valley Park near Gaston, Oregon. Distances offered:
- 50K
- 25K
Both races start with a group start at the C-Ramp parking area and finish at the same location. Registration includes access to aid stations, a post-race celebration with food and drinks, a parking voucher, a covered bag drop area, and finisher socks for all finishers. The race acknowledges the ancestral lands of the Kalapuya, Clatskanie, and Atfalati peoples.
Course, aid stations and policies
The 50K is two counterclockwise laps around Hagg Lake with single-track trail sections, short road sections, and an out-and-back on gravel road that contains the largest elevation change. Aid stations for the 50K are located near the Dam (miles 9.2 and 22.7), Fenders Blue (miles 14.5 and 27.8) and the Start/Finish (miles 17.5 and 31). The 25K is one counterclockwise lap with aid stations at about 7.3 miles and 12.5 miles and a course length of approximately 15.5 miles.
Aid stations are cupless; participants must bring a handheld, hydration pack, or reusable cup. The event enforces cutoffs: the 50K has a first-lap cutoff and intermediate cutoffs at the Dam and Fenders Blue (requiring a roughly 17:10 minute per mile pace), and the 25K allows about 7.5 hours to complete the course (about 29:00 per mile). The race does not offer refunds or transfers, and walkers are not permitted in the 50K. Prizes are awarded to the top three finishers in each gender category.
