Autumn Leaves 50 Mile

Autumn Leaves 50M/50K/30K

Autumn Leaves is an annual October trail and road ultrarunning event at Champoeg State Park in St. Paul, OR. The event offers multiple timed distances on a 10K loop that follows the Willamette River and passes park campsites.

The 10K loop is about 80% paved bike path and 20% dirt single track. The course is generally flat with some small rollers. The 30K consists of three loops, the 50K five loops, and the 50 mile event eight loops. A headlamp is required for the first lap because it will be dark.

Two aid stations are placed on the course and are accessible multiple times per loop. The event is cupless so runners need to carry their own hydration vessel. A covered drop bag area is available at the start and finish. Portapotties are located at the start and finish and one is midway on course. Support crew access is allowed at the start and finish and at the mid course aid station near Oak Grove.

Pacer rules permit pacers for the final laps: last two loops for 50K and last three loops for 50 mile entrants. Pacers must wear a pacer bib, sign a waiver, may use aid stations, and may not carry supplies for a runner.

Awards are given for top three finishers in each timed event across men, women, and nonbinary divisions and corresponding masters categories. GPS verification may be required if timing mats are not triggered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
