Saint Paul, United States • 24 Oct 2026

Event location and distances

Autumn Leaves takes place at Champoeg State Park in St. Paul, OR. The event offers the following timed distances:

  • 30K
  • 50K
  • 50 Mile

Registration for the 2026 edition is not yet open.

Course and format

The course is a 10k loop composed of about 80% paved bike path and 20% dirt single track. The route is described as very flat with small rollers. The whole course is typically runnable in road shoes. Distance formats use multiple loops: the 30K is three loops, the 50K is five loops, and the 50 mile is eight loops. A headlamp is required for the first lap because it will be dark.

Support, rules and amenities

There are two aid stations on course, passed multiple times each loop. The race is CUPLESS; runners must carry their own cup or use a hydration pack. A covered bag drop and portapotties are available at the start/finish, with an additional potty midway. Support crew access is allowed at the start/finish and at the mid-course aid station near Oak Grove.

Pacers are permitted: 50K runners may have a pacer for the last two loops and 50 mile runners for the last three loops. Pacers must sign a waiver, wear a pacer bib, may use aid stations, and may not carry supplies for their runner.

Park entrance fees are not included in registration. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each timed event across men, women, nonbinary, and masters divisions; finish place is determined by finish time. A “Spirit of Autumn Leaves” prize is also awarded. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
