Angry Owl Ultramarathons, Salem, Oregon

Angry Owl Ultramarathons is a timed running event taking place in Bush's Pasture Park in Salem, Oregon on August 8-9, 2026. The 2026 edition is the event's tenth year. The event offers multiple timed race options and uses a repeatable loop course.

Available timed events:

  • 24-hour run
  • 12-hour run
  • 6-hour run

The course is a new loop measuring 1.05 miles. Surfaces include hard packed dirt, well-maintained non-technical trail, packed gravel, and some asphalt. Runners complete as many laps of the loop as they can within their chosen time limit. Timing is chipped.

A single aid station near the start/finish area will provide water, electrolyte drink, fruit, salty and sweet snacks, and other items. Runners may leave personal food near the finish line and should bring their own bottles or cups. The start/finish area is adjacent to a small parking lot so vehicles remain accessible during the event. Participants may set up chairs and coolers near the start/finish area as long as they do not block runners or park users. Camping on Friday night before the race is not allowed.

The park is open to the public during the event and spectators are welcome. Medals will not be available. Each participant will receive a cap. Awards for top finishers will include items from Salem businesses. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
