The 5K course is almost entirely off-road, follows the Greenbelt Trail, crosses the Elm Fork Bridge, and visits equestrian trails. The 10K contains some sections described as more technical than the typical Greenbelt surface. Dogs on a leash are allowed for all distances; strollers are not allowed because much of the course is unpaved.
Logistics and awards
Packet pick up is available the day before the race at the race site. Registration pricing and deadlines are listed on the event pages. All 5K and 10K participants receive a swag bag, event t-shirt, finisher medal, and finish-line refreshments. The 5K and 10K award prizes to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in the age groups: 14 & under, 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, and 65 & over.
