Great Springs Trail Race - Canyon Lake

Great Springs Trail Race - Canyon Lake takes place on June 5, 2027 at Canyon Park, 1769 Canyon Park Rd, Canyon Lake, TX 78133. The event is organized in partnership with the Water-Oriented Recreation District of Comal County and supports the Great Springs Project. The venue is near New Braunfels and San Marcos, with Austin and San Antonio as the nearest larger cities.

The event offers these distances:

  • 5K about 3.1 miles
  • 10K approximately 6.2 miles
  • 25K two full loops of the main course
  • 50K four full loops of the main course
  • Youth 1 Mile

Course and support details: the route uses a well-marked 7.8 mile loop that is mostly shaded, follows sections near the shoreline, and includes technical trail features. The 10K uses a shortcut off the full loop to reach its distance. There is one full aid station near the midpoint of the loop and an aid area at the start/finish, plus additional water and ice stations between those points. The series operates as a cupless event; collapsible cups are available for purchase at packet pickup and the merch tent accepts card payments.

Logistics and rules: all races are chip timed with ankle-mounted chips picked up on race morning. Pacers are not allowed. Drop bag service is not provided on course; personal items may be left near the race hub. The event follows Leave No Trace principles and enforces litter rules, which can include disqualification.
