Great Springs Trail Race - Canyon Lake
Great Springs Trail Race takes place at Canyon Park near Canyon Lake on June 6, 2026. The event offers multiple distances and uses a single, well-marked loop that runs near the shoreline on technical, mostly shaded trail.
Distances include:
- 5K
- 10K
- 25K
- 50K
- Youth 1 Mile
The main loop is 7.8 miles. The 25K completes two full loops and the 50K completes four full loops. The 10K follows a shortened route of about 6.2 miles and the 5K returns to the finish at roughly 3.1 miles. Course markings include caution tape, yellow arrows, and frequent confidence markers, with reflectorized markings for any dark sections.
Aid and support are provided on course. There is one full aid station around the midway point of the loop and a main start/finish aid area, plus additional water and ice stations between those points. The race is cupless; runners should bring a bottle or packable cup. Collapsible cups will be available for purchase at packet pickup for cash or Venmo.
Logistics noted in the event materials include chip timing with ankle straps, no drop bag service on the course, a mass start format per distance, and a $10 spectator park entry fee collected in cash.
