Great Southern Endurance Run, April 25, 2026

The Great Southern Endurance Run is a point to point 100K event that starts at the top of Kennesaw Mountain and finishes at Stone Mountain after summiting it. The route runs southeast through Marietta and across Atlanta, passing landmarks such as Braves Stadium, Turner Field, Piedmont Park, the Governor's Mansion and MLK's birthplace.

The course follows city sidewalks, bike paths and a small section of single track along the Chattahoochee River. Runners will encounter rolling hills with the largest climbs occurring in the first mile and on Stone Mountain. There are a few places without sidewalks where participants run in a bike lane or on the shoulder.

The event includes approximately five aid stations and checkpoints. The route is point to point; runners follow printed turn sheets and have access to GPX tracks. Along the way the course passes commercial stops such as stores, gas stations and coffee shops that serve as informal resupply points.
