Grayt Jackalope 10 & 5 Miler

The Grayt Jackalope 10 & 5 Miler was established in 2017 by the Rotorhead 30A Running Company. The event offers two distinct courses that both start and finish at the Grayton Beach State Park trailhead, located at the gravel parking lot on CR-30A in Inlet Beach, FL.

Both the 10 mile and the 5 mile courses take place exclusively on the Grayton Beach State Park trail system. The trails include natural surface features such as tree roots, rocks, sand, and, when it rains, standing water and mud. The courses run through park trail sections that show a part of Florida’s landscape that many people do not usually see.

Awards are presented to overall male and female winners and runner ups for each distance, and first place finishers in each age group receive awards. Age groups listed include 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80-89. All participants who complete their race receive finisher medals. Awards and finisher medals not picked up at the event can be shipped to a home address at the runner’s expense.

Packet pick up is handled at Fleet Feet Inlet Beach, 11299 US-98, Inlet Beach, FL 32461. Event rules state that animals are not permitted on the courses. Strollers and wagons may start in the back of the pack, and participants using certified running wheelchairs or adaptive devices should contact the organizer before race day to arrange accommodations.
