Commodore 24 Hour Challenge

Panama City, United States • 17 Oct 2025

Event

The Commodore 24 Hour Challenge takes place at Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, FL on October 17, 2025. The event offers the following options:

  • 48 mile SOLO
  • 48 Mile 2 Person Relay

Runners must be at least 16 years old. Registration closes October 14. To guarantee an event shirt, participants must sign up by October 1. The campus is pet free. Participants are advised to bring food, hydration, and a pop-up or camping tent to set up on the baseball field.

Course, rules and logistics

The course is a one-mile loop that starts at the college baseball field, travels west through a roundabout toward the Military and Veterans Resource Center, follows the right side of the parking lot to the Student Union West, then returns down the main parking lot to the baseball stadium. The event is USATF sanctioned.

The core challenge requires completing one mile every 30 minutes, with each mile started and finished within the same 30-minute segment. Miles may not be banked; missing a required finish results in disqualification. Two-person teams share one race bib and must follow the same timing rules; both teammates run the first and last lap together. Packet pick-up is available the day of the race. If the event is cancelled for weather, refunds are not given; registered participants may pick up swag and medals at Fleet Feet Panama City.
