Operation Outdoor Freedom Trailfest
Operation Outdoor Freedom Trailfest takes place on September 12, 2026, with the start line at the Eastern Lake Trailhead off of Hwy 395 going into Watercolor. The event is presented as a Patriot's Day occasion focused on contemplation and commemoration and has partnered with Operation Outdoor Freedom beginning in 2025.

Courses use color coded loops on existing forest trails. 5K runners follow the yellow loop. 10K runners use the outside perimeter of the yellow loop, join the red loop, and return to the yellow loop to finish. 10 Miler runners follow the outside perimeter of the yellow and red loops, pick up the orange loop, then return via red and yellow to finish. Trails are already marked by the Forest Department and routes will also be marked on race day.
All registered runners receive a shirt and a finishers medal; shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by August 28. Awards include 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female overall for each race, plus 1st place male and female in age groups: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 plus.
Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before at Fleet Feet Inlet Beach, 11299 US Hwy 98 E, Inlet Beach FL 32461, with a limited pickup available the morning of the event. A portion of proceeds will be donated to Operation Outdoor Freedom. Rotorhead 30A Racing reserves the right to refuse any participant. If the event is cancelled, refunds are not provided; registered participants may collect swag and medals at Fleet Feet Inlet Beach. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
