Ruck entrants must carry a rucksack, weight vest, or weight carrier and meet weight requirements: 30 lb if over 150 lbs, 20 lb if under 150 lbs. Hydration and any needed medication are required for ruck participants.

Awards are given 1st through 3rd for all distances, a last-place trophy is designated for the 18K, and 9K ruck finishers receive a ruck patch.
