Course and conditions

The course begins at Grand River Park and follows natural-surface trails until connecting to the Idema Explorers Trail that runs along the Grand River toward Grand Ravines Park. As described by the organizer, portions of the route are paved: approximately two miles paved on the 5K and about four miles paved on the 10K. The remainder is dirt or grass with roots and uneven ground and can become muddy after significant rain. The 10K includes stairs. The kids 1-mile run is entirely on paved trail; strollers are allowed on the kids route but are not permitted on the 5K or 10K due to narrow or difficult terrain.

Entry notes and rules

Dogs are permitted in the 5K and 10K if kept on a six-foot leash and if the dog is well-mannered around people and other dogs.
