Humane Hustle 2026 : Belmont, MI

Humane Hustle is the fourth annual fund‑raising event for the Humane Society of West Michigan held at Canonsburg Ski Area in Belmont, Michigan. The event features trail running and a community walk to raise funds for animals in the care of the humane society.

Distances offered:

  • 10K Top Dog 10K
  • 5K Forever Home 5K
  • 1 Mile Mutt Strut Walk (walking only)

Registration for the 10K, 5K and 1 Mile opens August 25, 2026 and closes October 14, 2026. Entry fees listed for those events are $50.00 for the 10K, $40.00 for the 5K and $30.00 for the 1 Mile walk. A separate spectator registration option is available for fundraising or in-person cheering; that option carries a $15.00 fee and has a different closing date.

Event-day activities include sponsor booths, adoptable animals, activity areas and a kids zone. Packet pick-up is scheduled on November 12 and November 13 at the humane society, with specified pickup windows. The organizing body reserves the right to cancel the event for weather or unsafe conditions; refunds will not be issued for cancellations outside the humane society's control.
