Grand National Trail Run - Findon

The Grand National Trail Run in Findon on 19 April 2026 is an off road charity event organised by Raw Energy Pursuits. Proceeds from the event support St John the Baptist Primary School at Findon. The event is part of Grand National weekend and uses the village and surrounding South Downs landscape.

The course follows the lane up to Cissbury Ring and continues towards the Steyning bostal in the South Downs National Park. From the bostal the route runs downhill along the ancient Monarchs Way to Nepcote Green and finishes at the historic Wattle House. The route is entirely on trails and lanes rather than roads.

The event is timed by ST App Service; there will be no chip timing. Registration closes 17 April 2026. A 15 mile trail run from the beer garden of the Ye Olde Smugglers Inne in Alfriston with two pub checkpoints offering a drink and snack; route GPX and a race narrative are provided and results appear within 24 hours.

Trail runs through Angmering Park Estate in Patching on 26 April 2026, with 10-mile and 10 km courses amid bluebells. Canicross entries are available for a small supplement and the finish is at The Worlds End Pub.

Bolt Round the Holt is a forest trail race at Alice Holt Forest on 26 April 2026 offering Half Marathon, 10k, 5k and a Junior Run while raising funds for GUTS to support bowel cancer detection and care.

Trail event in the South Downs offering 28 miles and 18 miles routes with 4000 plus ft or 2800 plus ft ascent. Routes pass Seven Sisters, Cuckmere Haven and downland villages and are open to walkers and runners.
