Serpent Trail

The Serpent Trail is a multi-distance trail running event on 4 July 2026, based at Petersfield Rugby Club (PRFC) in Hampshire, GU31 4EP. The route runs through parts of the South Downs National Park and through a variety of landscapes including lowland heath described as habitats rarer than rainforest, ancient woodlands, coppices, greensand hills, river meanders, sandy trails and quiet country roads.

Event facilities and logistics include coach transport to the race starts included with entries, permanent Serpent Trail markings plus race signage, camping available on Friday and Saturday nights and food with a licensed bar at the venue. A kids race takes place on the Friday evening. Walkers are welcome and the minimum age for entry is 16 on the event date.

Entries open on 10 October 2025 and close on 27 June 2026, with some distances closing earlier. Entry fees vary by distance and an instalment option is available with two 50 percent payments, the second payable by 01/02/2026.

Trail runs nearby

Trail running on 31 January 2026 at Hound House Road in Surrey with 10 km and 15 km routes over hilly mixed terrain. Parking, toilets and refreshments are available; entries close 29 January 2026.

Take on scenic South Downs trails at Queen Elizabeth Country Park with routes for every level. Choose 21.6 km, 15.2 km or 7.9 km trail runs or join canicross and hikes, organised by UK Running Events.

Guided 10 km trail run around the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead, with summer sunset runs and headtorch group night runs in darker months. Social pace, great views and the chance to try trail gear.

The Pilgrim Challenge will take place in Farnham from Saturday 7 February 2026 to Sunday 8 February 2026. You can run 66 miles.
