The Gnome Run is the Baxter Trail Club's 13th annual New Year’s Day trail event held on January 1, 2026, at Baxter Village Green, 3187 Colonel Springs Drive, Fort Mill, SC 29708. The event features trail running and a trail ruck with multiple distance options. Registration includes race entry, music, a t-shirt, giveaways, prizes, and food.

Registration fee is $35 until race day. Race T-shirts are available to participants who register before December 12. Children 10 and under may participate at no charge when accompanied by a paid parent or guardian. Four-legged family members are allowed on a leash. A traditional New Year’s lunch will be provided, including pulled pork, black eyed peas, collard greens, cornbread, and Amor Artis craft beer; non-participant meals are available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Baxter Trail Club, a 501(c)(3), and support trail work days, group hikes, full moon fires, and club administration. Volunteers are requested for event operations.
