Distances and Location

The New South Trail Marathon takes place on the trail system at the Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC. The event offers two distances: a full marathon (26.2 miles) and a half marathon (13.1 miles).

Registration and Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up is scheduled for April 3rd. Race day registration is available on April 4th. Pre-registration prices are $95 for the full marathon and $75 for the half marathon.

Aid Stations

There are several aid stations along the course. The South Main and East Main stations offer hydration only. The Academy station and the Start/Finish Line station provide both hydration and food.

Event Policies

Registration is non-refundable. All participants must sign the Whitewater Center's Assumption of Risk Agreement. Trails remain open to other users during the event, and headphones are strongly discouraged. No pets, e-bikes, or powered transportation are allowed on the course. The event proceeds rain or shine.

Awards and Medals

Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in various age groups for both distances. Unique finisher medals are guaranteed for participants who pre-register by February 21st. Participants must be present at the award ceremony to receive awards.

Participant Shirts

A short sleeve shirt for the half marathon and a long sleeve shirt for the full marathon are guaranteed for those who pre-register by March 23rd. An optional race hoodie is also available as an add-on during registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
