Course and logistics

The course is a roughly 10 km loop through the Newton Hills trail system, with about 850 ft of elevation gain per loop. Races are multiple laps of this loop: 2 laps for the 20K, 3 laps for the 30K, and 5 laps for the 50K. The start/finish area is near a picnic shelter and also serves as the main aid station; a water station is available around mile 4 of each loop and a full aid stop near mile 6/start/finish of each loop.

Drop bags can be left on a tarp beside the aid station; runners are responsible for labeling their own bags. Horse camp parking is recommended for 50K runners and is about a half mile from the start/finish. There are multiple vault toilets in the horse camp and one at the start/finish. The course will be marked with signage, pin flags, and tape; trail hazards may include roots, rocks, mud, dust, and horse manure. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
