Gifts of Love Community 5K

Matteson, United States • 10 Oct 2026

4th Annual DBC Keys 2 Stability Community 5K 2026

The event is a community fundraiser held at Vollmer Road Grove Forest Preserve, 4162 Vollmer Rd., Flossmoor, IL 60422. It includes an in-person community 5K and a virtual 5K. Organizers describe the event as intended for families and community members, including businesses and local leaders.

The event raises funds and collects resources to support local families experiencing hidden homelessness. Donations and funds are used for hotel assistance, fresh food and produce, personal care essentials, household items, and laundry support. The effort also raises money for book bags, school supplies, and gift cards for homeless school children in the Chicago south suburbs. These activities are presented as a way to provide dignity, stability, and hope to families who are often overlooked.

Registration details are given for each option. In-person registration opens April 2, 2026 and closes June 10, 2026 with a registration fee of $25. Virtual registration opens April 9, 2026 and closes August 10, 2026 with a registration fee of $30.
