Bloom Alumni Cross Country Meet
The Bloom Alumni Cross Country Meet is a reunion-style running event held on 08/15/2026 at 1333 Edgewood Ave, Chicago Heights, IL. Participants run the old 2 Mile cross country course through Wilson Woods; the course is described as the original route or what remains of it.
Runners will be organized into decade-based head-start groups. Chip timing will be used; official scoring is based on finishing place regardless of individual start group. Recorded times will be kept but do not determine team scoring.
Teams are formed by class decades with a combined team for classes 1950-1980 and separate teams for 1981-1990, 1991-2000, 2001-2010, 2011-2020, 2021-2026, plus the current team. Five finishers constitute a complete team for scoring purposes. Friends of Bloom and alumni from Bloom and Bloom Trail programs may participate. All sports programs now compete under a single umbrella.
There is no longer parking off Route 30; parking is available at the High School or the Small Fry baseball field. Registration is listed as free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
