The event takes place on Wednesday 29 April 2026 at Gibside National Trust, Rowlands Gill, NE16 6BG. Runners use trails through the estate, which covers over 600 acres of gardens, woodland, and countryside. The landscape includes a Neo-classical chapel, a restored stable block, a grand ruin, and local wildlife; deer may be seen on the route. Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North and results are available during the event. The event is Canicross friendly; one controlled dog per runner is allowed. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink.

Distances offered:

  • 5 km : minimum age 11
  • 10 km : minimum age 15

Standard entry prices listed are £22 for the 5 km and £26 for the 10 km. Entries that include an event T-shirt are priced at £34 (5 km) and £38 (10 km).
