The Gibside 5 km and 10 km trail runs take place at the National Trust Gibside Estate in Rowlands Gill on 29 April 2026. The event offers two race distances and is scheduled as an evening trail event. Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North, with results available throughout the event. The event is canicross friendly - one controlled dog per runner is allowed.

Location and course

The venue is Gibside National Trust, NE16 6BG, set across more than 600 acres of gardens, woodland, and countryside. Course information and route maps are provided for both the 5 km and 10 km routes. The estate includes features such as a Neo-classical Chapel, a restored stable block, and a large ruin; wildlife including deer may be seen on the trails.

Facilities and entry

Parking is available on site at £3 per vehicle. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. An exclusive event T-shirt can be added to an entry for £12. Entry prices listed are £22 + fee for the 5 km and £26 + fee for the 10 km; packaged entries that include a T-shirt are listed at higher prices. Registration opens 04/07/2025 and closes 27/04/2026.
