The Gibside 5km and 10km trail runs take place on Wednesday 29 April 2026 at Gibside National Trust, Rowlands Gill, NE16 6BG. The estate covers over 600 acres of gardens, woodland, and countryside. Route maps are available for both distances.

Practical information

Age limits apply: the 5 km run is open to participants aged 11 and over, and the 10 km run to those aged 15 and over. The 10 km route follows woodland trails. The event is Canicross friendly - one controlled dog per runner is allowed. Live chip-timing is provided by Timing Up North. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a snack and drink. An exclusive event T-shirt may be added to an entry for £12.00.

On-site parking is available at £3 per vehicle. Registration opens 4 July 2025 and closes 27 April 2026. Standard entry prices listed are £22 (5 km) and £26 (10 km), both plus fee. Entry options that include a T-shirt are listed at £34 (5 km) and £38 (10 km), both plus fee.
