Ghost Town Trail Challenge

Blairsville, United States • 21 Jun 2025

The Ghost Town Trail Challenge is an annual endurance event held in Blairsville and Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2025. Participants can choose from three distances: a full 32-mile (50K) challenge, a 16-mile (25K) half challenge, or a 7.5-mile (12K) friends and family challenge. The course follows the scenic Ghost Town Trail, named DCNR's 2020 Trail of the Year, featuring gradual elevation gain with the steepest section between miles 19 and 22. The event emphasizes personal challenge over racing, with aid stations every 5-6 miles providing food, hydration, and first aid. Proceeds support the maintenance and expansion of Cambria County Trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
