Ironstone 100K
Ironstone 100K is a point to point trail ultramarathon covering 100 kilometers (62 miles) across the Ridge and Valley region of southern Pennsylvania. The route runs from the Juniata River watershed into Rothrock State Forest and spans Blair, Huntingdon, and Centre counties.
Course maps and charts are available on multiple platforms including Footpath, Ultrapacer, Plot a Route, Strava, and Hello Drifter. The race publishes a two part course narrative and a course timeline. Support on the route includes multiple aid stations and crew information; for 2026 the former unmanned water stop at Jackson Trail (AS7) was upgraded to a manned water only aid station. The route includes an overnight section of roughly 5 to 6 hours between Indian Steps and Little Flat Tower.
Finish recognition for runners who complete the course within 23 hours includes a finisher flannel. A DCNR trail work volunteer portal records volunteer hours for trail maintenance in Rothrock State Forest. The event maintains a community presence on Strava, Facebook, and Instagram, and posts archived results from 2022 through 2026.
