Ironstone 100K

Ironstone 100K is a 100-kilometer (62 miles) point to point trail race through the Ridge and Valley region of Pennsylvania. The course runs from the Juniata River watershed into Rothrock State Forest and crosses Blair, Huntingdon, and Centre counties. The event is scheduled for July 11–12, 2026.

The race is organized by the Eastern States Trail-Endurance Alliance (ESTEA), a local all volunteer group that states stewardship of trails, trailrunners, and supporting communities is part of its mission.

Course updates for 2026 include a new manned water only aid station AS7 at Jackson Trail and a relocated water stop. Organizers note a long overnight section of roughly 5 to 6 hours between Indian Steps and Little Flat Tower. A course notice also records the Dilling Bridge closure on the Lower Trail at about mile 11.4.

Organizers issued a travel advisory because a concurrent major multi day event in Altoona and Hollidaysburg is expected to draw over 250,000 visitors and may tighten lodging availability. Training runs and course previews are posted on Strava and Facebook and are open to the public without race registration. The event follows Trail Sisters Approved Standards including equal podiums and awards, women’s specific apparel and swag, menstrual products at aid stations, and a pregnancy and postpartum policy.
