Event Overview
The Gecko Gathering takes place at Siblyback Lake. It is a summer event. The course is described as flat. The event is family-friendly and suitable for ages 5 and up, with children to be accompanied by an adult.
Distances
Participants can choose from three main distances:
- A 2.5 km run.
- A 5 km run.
- A 10 km run.
The organizer notes that the loop around the lake is actually 4.8 km. Distances are achieved by completing one or two laps (e.g., 9.6 km for the 10k event). There is no time pressure and no cut-off time.
The Siblython
A separate event called the Siblython offers an 8-hour format. Participants can complete as many laps of the lake as possible within the time limit. Rest breaks are allowed. Five laps equate to slightly more than a half marathon, and nine laps equate to a full marathon. This event is for participants aged 18 and over.

All participants receive a medal. Awards are given to top finishers in each distance. Post-race refreshments are available from a cafe on-site. The event has limited capacity and entries are capped.
