Gecko Gathering – Siblyback Lake 2026

Gecko Gathering returns to Siblyback Lake in Liskeard on 20 June 2026. The event offers multiple trail running options around the lake and includes an extended endurance format called the Siblython.

Distances available include:

  • 9.6 km
  • Siblython an 8 hour endurance around the 4.8 km lake

The Siblython requires a minimum of three laps to claim a Siblython medal. Completing about 4.4 laps covers a half marathon distance and nine laps covers a marathon distance. Participants can continue for as long as the event clock allows.

Onsite amenities listed for the event include camping, an open café and buggy access. All participants receive a Siblyback Gecko Gathering 2026 medal. Personalised bibs are provided and awards are given to top finishers in each distance. Free race photography is available.

The event is Stage 5 of the PGE 5K and 10K Trail Running Championship Series 2026. Timing is managed via an app service and there will be no chip timing. Registration for the event closes on 15 June 2026. Minimum ages apply for different distances and children must be accompanied by an adult. Trail runs nearby

Three trail races at the Flete Estate in Mothecombe, South Devon, using private tracks, estuary footpaths and coastal path sections. Distances range from about 8.5 miles to 28.5 miles with marked courses, aid stations and compulsory kit req..

Trail races at Roadford Lake with 10.5K and 5K laps, a half marathon on two laps, plus 1K and 2K kids races; adults may accompany children at no extra charge.

A fell running event at Meldon Reservoir featuring a five mile senior race climbing 1,362 ft to High Willhays and return, plus junior races over 2 km and 4 km. The course requires self navigation and includes compulsory checkpoints.

Langstone Fell Race runs from Peter Tavy across Coombe Tor, Cox Tor and the Langstone over roughly 10 km, with 2k and 5k options and junior races; parking, toilets and post-race refreshments are provided.
