Galtymore Uphill

Galtymore Uphill is scheduled for Wednesday 10th June 2026 in County Tipperary. The race starts at Kings yard, Knocknagalty, Kilbehenny, Co. Limerick and finishes at the top of Galty Mór. The course is an open mountain uphill route over rugged terrain.

The event distance is 6.00 km with a climb of 750 m. The event difficulty is listed as 7 (2,2,3) and the route is not marked. GPS devices are not allowed. The race is part of the Munster Uphill League.

All runners must bring mandatory Level B standard kit: waterproof jacket, hat or buff, gloves, whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket, bivvy bag or equivalent. The specific kit to be carried during the race will be finalised on the day and announced at registration. Runners should also have means to carry all required kit. Failure to have the required items may result in being denied entry or disqualified and random kit checks may be carried out.

Entries open on Monday 8th June 2026 and close on Wednesday 10th June 2026. Entry fees are €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. The event has an entry limit of 250.
