Moylussa

The Moylussa mountain running event takes place on Sunday, 26th July 2026, in Clare. The long course is 10.70 km with a climb of 536 meters. A shorter junior course of 4.40 km is also available, which starts at 10:30.

The route features a mix of narrow single track, wider fire roads, sleepers, and narrow forest trails. It is an out-and-back course that turns around at the summit of Moylussa. Race marking is at major junctions only, and the use of GPS is permitted.

The event requires mandatory Level A kit, consisting of a showerproof, windproof jacket. All runners must bring these items, though the kit to be carried during the race will be finalized on the day based on conditions. Random kit checks may be carried out, and failure to have the required items can lead to denied entry or disqualification.

The race start is at Ballycuggaran Woods, with parking available at Twomilegate. Entry costs €7 for seniors and €5 for over 65s and under 18s. The entry limit is 250 runners, and entries open on Monday, 20th July 2026, at 21:00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
