Race Information

The FXBG Trail 5K is the inaugural race of the FXBG Trail series, held in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The event features a 5k distance on a course designed with an out-and-back, lollipop-style layout. The route begins at the Fredericksburg Quarry and follows the Beach trail alongside the Rappahannock River.

The course setup is characterized by flat and smooth terrain. It includes a total elevation gain of 106 feet and a corresponding loss of 106 feet. While the majority of the path is flowing, there is one technical section that contains some rocks. The layout is intended to provide a consistent rhythm for participants throughout the distance.

Registration for the event is open to the public with a specified fee. Recognition is provided for some participants, as the top three finishers in the men's and women's categories receive gift certificates from a local outfitter. This event receives support from the Fredericksburg Area Running Club and serves as an entry point for those participating in the broader race series.
