Froggy Mountain Warrior 100

Froggy Mountain Adventures is sponsoring a winter 100-mile group run in February 2026 near Galax, Virginia as a fundraiser for the veterans organization 22toomany. The event is organized as an informal, unpermitted group run rather than an official race. Participants should plan to be largely self-sufficient; the organizer expects some form of aid to be available but advises independent planning.

The course is a roughly 10 mile loop repeated ten times. Each lap includes a 7.2 mile out-and-back on a gravel road with a 3.1 mile climb and a descent, a 1.35 mile out-and-back on a moderately technical trail, and a short road segment to complete the loop. The full 100 miles has approximately 15,000 feet of elevation gain. February weather can be cold and snow or freezing rain is possible; some gravel sections can be slick with ice. The event uses a 40 hour soft cutoff. Runners who do not meet the cutoff but continue may still receive the event buckle.

Entry cost includes a lowkey buckle featuring the organizer's Warrior artwork. After tax and fees, approximately $22 per entry will be donated to 22toomany. Registration details note a deadline for receiving a buckle at the run if registered by February 1, and a later registration close date in mid to late February 2026.
