Frisco Railroad Run

Willard, United States • 25 Apr 2026

Distances

The Frisco Railroad Run offers several distances:

  • 50 miles
  • 50 km
  • Marathon
  • Half marathon
  • 8 km

Course

All events take place on the Frisco Highline Trail, a USATF-certified, mostly flat, scenic rail-to-trail course consisting of fine-crushed, hard-packed gravel. All races are out-and-back routes starting and finishing in Willard, Missouri. The marathon course is a Boston Marathon qualifier. Dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course.

Optional Early Start

Runners registered for the 50-mile or 50 km distances who do not think they can finish within 12 hours have the option to start at 4:00 AM instead of the regular 6:00 AM start. Runners using the early start will not be eligible for awards and must be self-supported until the first aid stations are set up at 6:00 AM.

Logistics

The start and finish line is in the parking lot of Willard Middle School (205 Miller Road, Willard, MO), where there is ample parking. Aid stations are located along the course, most offering water, electrolyte drinks, soda, gels, and fruit, with portable toilets at most stations. Gear check is available for all runners. Only 50 km and 50-mile runners are permitted to use drop bags, which are transported to specific aid stations.

Other Information

Shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by April 11, 2026. To run the marathon, 50 km, or 50-mile distance, participants must be 18 or older on race day. Half marathon participants must be 13 or older. The event is held regardless of most weather conditions, with an average starting temperature of 42 degrees Fahrenheit.
