The event is organized by the Ozark Mountain Ridge Runners, a not-for-profit group. The Frisco Highline Trail is a 35-mile rail-to-trail route that connects Springfield to Bolivar, MO. The races are USATF certified; the marathon is a Boston qualifier. The surface is fine-crushed, hard-packed gravel. The course is out-and-back for all distances, with start and finish at the middle school parking lot in Willard.

Course turn points by distance are specified: 50-Mile to Hwy U (mile 25) and back; 50K to Graydon Springs (mile 15.5) and back; Marathon to Ridgerunners Rest Stop (mile 13.1) and back; Half to near N Farm Road 65 (mile 6.55) and back; 8K to Cotner's Corner and back. Aid stations are located at miles 2.5, 5, 7.5, 10, 13, 15.5, 20, and 25 and will offer water, electrolyte drink, soda, gels, and fruit. Port-a-potties are at the school and at aid stations except mile 2.5.

Logistics: ample parking is available in the middle school lot. Drop bags are allowed only for 50K and 50-Mile runners and are collected at the school lobby for transport to designated aid stations.
