Leaky Hourglass Ultra
The Leaky Hourglass Ultra is a Last Man Standing running event. Each lap is a 4.167 mile out-and-back. The initial cutoff is 60 minutes for the first lap; each subsequent lap reduces the cutoff by one minute until only one person completes a lap.
Course and aid stations
The course is a chip and sealed rural highway with rolling hills. Each lap has roughly 250 feet of elevation gain. There is one manned aid station at the start/finish and one unmanned aid station at the turnaround. The start/finish station provides Tailwind Endurance Fuel, water, chips, pickles, candy bars, Scooby snacks, and other hot and cold options. The turnaround station offers Tailwind Endurance Fuel, water, and prepackaged snacks in a tote.
The course is not closed to traffic. Participants should run facing traffic and are required to have a headlamp and a flasher after sunset.
