Leaky Hourglass Ultra

Halfway, United States • 30 Aug 2025

The Leaky Hourglass Ultra is a unique Last Man Standing running event held near Half Way, Missouri, about 20 miles north of Springfield. Runners complete 4.167-mile out-and-back laps on a chip-sealed rural highway featuring rolling hills and approximately 250 feet of elevation gain per lap. The twist: each lap’s cutoff time decreases by one minute, starting at 60 minutes, challenging participants until only one remains.

Aid stations provide Tailwind Endurance Fuel, water, and snacks at the start/finish and turnaround points. The course is not closed to traffic, so runners must run facing traffic and use headlamps after dark. Primitive camping and nearby hotels are available.
