Hard Times Trail Run in Willard, MO, is billed as the Toughest Footrace in Greene County and takes place at Little Sac Woods Conservation Area. The event offers three distances on an 8-mile loop: 8 miles, 25K, and 50K, with 25K and 50K runners completing laps in a “washing-machine” style, alternating directions each lap. The course features over 1,000 feet of elevation gain, plush runnable sections, steep downhills, climbs, creek crossings, briars, and no switchbacks.

Limited to 60 runners, it includes two aid stations, bag drops, porta-potties, and swag for finishers (with extra for 50K). Parking is limited; on-site parking is for 50K, others shuttle from Noble Hill Baptist Church. Proceeds benefit Headington Hill Classical Academy.
