Bleak Midwinter Endurance Run
The Bleak Midwinter Endurance Run is a timed endurance event held January 23, 2027 at Sac River Mountain Bike Trails in Springfield, MO. The event uses a roughly 4.15 mile loop of single track through hardwood forest and small glades on a 300 acre park with over 14 miles of trails.

The loop is moderately technical with rocks and roots and has about 400 feet of elevation gain per lap. The course is marked with permanent signs and temporary directional signs, flags, and ribbons. All runners start in the same direction; after the first lap they may run either direction, provided they check in between laps. Only completed laps that are recorded at check in count toward mileage and all laps must be finished before the end of the timed event to be counted.
A Base Camp Pavilion aid station at the start and finish provides food, drinks, warmth, first aid, and restroom facilities. Crews may set up tents around the pavilion. All registered participants receive custom swag; additional swag is provided for the 12 hour and 6 hour events. 50K and 50M finishers earn special awards.
The event will proceed in rain or snow and may be cancelled only for safety or factors beyond organizer control. No refunds are available. Dogs are allowed on leash.
