Kalispell, United States • 21 Jun 2026

Event Details

The Foy's to Blacktail Trail Marathon is a point-to-point mountain trail marathon. This is the event's eighth year. The course showcases the newest trails within the Foy's to Blacktail Trail system.

Registration and Logistics

Registration is capped at 100 participants. The event includes a marathon distance. Runners gather at Herron Park, where buses then transport them to the start line at the Lakeside to Blacktail Trail. There is no parking available at the start.

Important Requirements

All racers are required to carry bear spray due to the potential presence of wildlife such as bears and mountain lions. There is a strict 12:00 PM cutoff to reach the Emmons Saddle aid station, which requires maintaining an average pace faster than 3 mph.

Additional Information

The race is an annual fundraiser. Proceeds support the building and maintenance of trails in the 40-plus mile FTBT trail system. It is also part of a larger race bundle series and the Flathead Race Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
