Event Overview
The Fort Gordon Marine Mud Challenge is an off-road obstacle course race held at Fort Gordon, Georgia. The event features a course approximately 4 miles in length that incorporates more than 30 obstacles, hills, a stream crossing, and mud. Participants navigate a route that requires functional movement and includes various natural and constructed elements.

Participation Details
The event is open to individuals aged 13 and older, though younger participants may enter with parent or guardian approval. Competitive runners are required to complete every obstacle on the course. In the non-competitive category, runners depart in waves of 10 people every 60 seconds. The competitive category utilizes smaller waves of four people departing every 45 seconds. All participants are timed using an electronic system.
Logistics and Facilities
The venue provides specific amenities for participants, including wash-down stations and changing facilities. Free parking is available near the starting area, and water stations are positioned along the course and at the finish line. The first 800 registrants receive an event shirt.
Access to the site requires security clearance. Visitors without Department of Defense ID cards must use Gate 6 and complete a pre-registration process for a visitor pass at least 24 hours before the event. All vehicle occupants over 16 years of age must present a valid picture ID at the gates. Proceeding through security and entering the installation may take approximately 30 minutes.
