Marine Mud Challenge

The Marine Mud Challenge is an off-road obstacle event presented by Five Star Nutrition and held at 19th St. & Barnes Ave. The course is approximately 4-mile long and includes more than 30 obstacles, a stream crossing, rolling hills, and mud sections.

The event offers competitive and non-competitive categories. The competitive categories are for participants who plan to run the full course and complete every obstacle. Participants register individually; groups may assemble at the start line to run together. Every runner receives electronic timing.

Age requirements apply: participants must be 13 or older. Younger participants may join with parent or guardian approval. The first 800 registrants will receive t-shirts.

Volunteering is available. Volunteers choose roles and times, and a coordinator will contact selected volunteers with details.

Entry fees vary by registration period and category:

  • Through June 28: Competitive $45, Non-Competitive $40
  • June 29 through July 29: Competitive $55, Non-Competitive $50
  • July 30 through September 12: Competitive $65, Non-Competitive $60

The event is scheduled for September 12, 2026, and is organized as part of Fort Gordon MWR programming. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
