Dark Horse 48hr Ultra Run

Dark Horse 24 & 48 Hour Ultra Run : Stable View, Aiken, SC

The Dark Horse event is a timed ultrarunning event held at Stable View Equestrian Facility in Aiken, South Carolina. The course is a maintained 4-mile loop designed for repeated laps, placing support and aid close to runners throughout the event.

Event formats and standard entry fees include:

• 24-Hour Solo : $200
• 48-Hour Solo : $350
• 48-Hour Team Relay (2–4) : $150 per runner

Only one runner from each relay team may be on the course at a time. Registration opens Sunday, August 2, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET.

Chip timing and live results are provided by Zen Arcade Timing, which offers real-time tracking, live lap counting, and split displays. Finisher buckles are awarded at 100 miles and 150 miles; other distance achievements receive custom medals. Top-performing teams receive recognition and awards.

Onsite options include personal 10x10 canopies, vehicle access, RV sites with hookups, and cottages and hunt boxes on the property. Covered onsite sites are available for a weekend fee; competitors should contact the Stable View office to reserve. Nearby lodging options range from downtown Aiken hotels to vacation rentals.
