Aiken Trailblazer at Stable View
The Aiken Trailblazer Halloween event at Stable View is a multi-distance trail running event held on the Stable View equestrian property in Aiken, South Carolina. The facility covers about 1,000 acres of gently rolling hills bordered by forest canopies and longleaf pines.
Distances offered:
- 26.2 miles Mummifying Marathon
- 13.1 miles Headless Horseman Half Marathon
- 10K Thriller 10K
- 5K Frightening 5K
- 1K Kooky Kids Fun Run
Participants receive a finisher's medal, a t-shirt, post-race food and access to hot showers. Long sleeve t-shirts are guaranteed through October 15; short sleeve shirts are available while supplies last. There are four rest stops stocked with water and Nuun.
Awards include overall top three female and male finishers for the half marathon, 10K and 5K, plus first place age group medals for the following age bands: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75-79. Costume awards are given in categories such as Most Unique, The Scariest, Best Superhero, and Best Family & Friends Group.
The event notes Stable View's conservation efforts, including work related to the Red-cockaded woodpecker, and offers on-site lodging options and RV hook ups.
