Foreshore Adventure Run

Foreshore Adventure Run is a charity obstacle course held on the shore of Lake Michigan at Pere Marquette Beach Park in Muskegon, MI on May 16, 2026. The main course is a 5k that includes more than 20 obstacles arranged along the beach and nearby areas.

Participants may register as individuals or as teams. The event runs competitive and non competitive waves; waves depart the start line at short intervals to limit lines at obstacles and to enhance participant safety. All runners are chip timed. Competitive entries receive age category awards for the top three finishers and unique awards for overall and masters male and female winners. All participants receive an A 4 performance shirt and a completion medal.

A separate Fun Run wave offers the same course experience without the focus on competition while retaining chip timing, performance shirts, and completion medals. A Kid's Zone operates as a miniature version of the course for children, with each child receiving a medal and treats. The Kid's Zone is best suited for children ages 3 to 8, requires a parent or guardian to accompany participants, and does not require preregistration.

Event proceeds support Muskegon Rescue Mission and its work providing food, shelter, and related services to people experiencing homelessness in West Michigan. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
