The Crusader Cross Country Classic is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2026, in Muskegon, Michigan. The event is billed as the 1st annual edition and takes place at Muskegon Catholic Central Monsignor Kehren Stadium, 1145 W Laketon Ave, Muskegon, MI 49441. The program includes high school boys and girls races plus an alumni and community race that is open to all.

Race details

• Distance: 5k (Crusader 5k) Registration is $25 through August 21; the fee increases to $30 on race day. Registration is handled on RunSignUp. Race proceeds support the Cross Country and Track & Field programs at MCC. Packet pick-up is available at a table inside the stadium. Awards are listed as TBD.

Course, timing and amenities

The course starts and finishes on the old cinder track inside the stadium and loops around the school athletic fields and grounds. The organizer describes the course as following much of the old path without the previous hairpin turn, and spectator access is possible inside the stadium. Restrooms are available inside the stadium. An athletic trainer will be available near the finish line. Chip timing is provided by MI Time Race Management LLC.
