The Foot Pursuit 5K Trail Race takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Valparaiso, Indiana. The course is an all-trail 3.1 mile run/walk at Sunset Hill County Park, 775 Meridian Road. The route is a wooded trail with rolling hills and may experience variable weather.

Entry, awards and logistics

Standard entry fees vary by registration date: a no-shirt option is listed at $25, early registration at $30 before February 23, 2026, and $35 for on-line or day-of registration; a $2 discount is noted for XYZ participants. T-shirts are guaranteed for competitors registered before February 23; shirts for later registrants are available first come, first served. Amenities include one water station, a digital clock at the finish, and substantial food refreshments. Awards are given to overall male and female winners and to the top three finishers in each age group. Age categories for male and female divisions are: 0-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. Early packet pick-up is available at The Extra Mile Fitness Company, 3400 Calumet Ave., Valparaiso, on Friday, March 6. A Police/Fire/Criminal Justice Challenge scores the top three finishers from each eligible department by summing finishing places; the lowest total wins a traveling trophy.
