Event Overview
The Foot Pursuit Trail Race is a 3.1-mile (5 km) trail run and walk. It takes place at Sunset Hill County Park on Meridian Road in Valparaiso, Indiana.
Course & Amenities
The route is a wooded trail with rolling hills. The event provides one water station on the course. At the finish, there is a digital clock and a large amount of food for refreshments.
Awards & Registration
Awards are given to overall male and female winners. The first three finishers in each age group also receive awards. Age groups range from 0-11 to 70+ for both male and female categories.
A special Police, Fire, and Criminal Justice Challenge runs alongside the open race. Teams of three from eligible public service departments or high school programs compete for a traveling trophy.
T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before February 23. For registrations on or after that date, shirts are available first-come, first-served. Early packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at The Extra Mile Fitness Company in Valparaiso. Race day packet pickup opens at 7:30 AM.
