Foot Pursuit 5K Trail Race

The Foot Pursuit 5K Trail Race takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Valparaiso, Indiana, at Sunset Hill County Park, 775 Meridian Rd. Format and logistics

Distances: 3.1 miles

The race lists multiple age categories for male and female divisions: 0-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. Overall male and female winners receive awards; the top three finishers in each age group also receive awards. Shirts are guaranteed to competitors registered before February 23; shirts for later registrants are first come, first served. Pricing details include a $25 no-shirt option, $30 before February 23, $35 on or after February 23 (online only), and $35 day of race. A $2 discount is listed for XYZ participants. Early packet pick-up is available at The Extra Mile Fitness Company, 3400 Calumet Ave, Valparaiso, on Friday, March 6. Race day packet pick-up at the site opens at 7:30 AM. A Police/Fire/Criminal Justice Challenge combines top three finishers from each department to compete for a traveling trophy; eligibility is determined by the race director.
