The Food for Others 5k and 10k is scheduled for January 17, 2026 at Leesylvania State Park in Woodbridge, VA. The event benefits the charity Food for Others, which distributes food to neighbors in need. A virtual race option is offered for participants who cannot attend in person. Points from the event count toward the Year‑Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series and the Winter Series.

The course is primarily a trail run with some pavement, includes small hills and a short staircase, and the 10k is two loops. Water and sports drink are provided at on-course stations at approximately mile markers 1.2, 1.6, 3.1, 4.3 and 4.7 on the 10k, and at approximately mile markers 1.2 and 1.6 on the 5k. Water stations are subject to change.

Registration, kit and timing

Registration fees are listed as: 5k $30 (rising to $35 after Dec 31) and 10k $45 (rising to $50 after Dec 31). Prices increase by $5 on race morning. Race day registration and packet pickup are available at the event; shirts cannot be guaranteed for race day registrants. T-shirts are guaranteed for entries completed before Jan 7. Participants receive a finisher medal, a technical (Dri‑Fit) event shirt and chip timing.

Logistics, results and awards

Parking is at Leesylvania State Park near the Fishing Pier (2001 Daniel K Ludwig Dr; GPS 38.591129, -77.248400). Organizers post live results on Athlinks and provide a QR code at the race to view results; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top 3 men and women overall and to 1st and 2nd place male and female in standard age groups (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+); top 3 overall are not eligible for age-group awards.
